Rupenzel Song
『ラパンゼル』の劇のうたの練習をしたよ。うたは全部先生が作ったんだよ！みんな劇のうたが大好き！少しずつだけど、ずいぶん上手に歌えるようになってきたよ！
Today we practiced singing the Rupenzel songs our teacher wrote for our performance. We're getting good!

Demon Masks
2月3日の節分に備えて、今日は工作の時間に紙皿を使って鬼のお面を作ったよ！
Today at art time we prepared for this year's Setsubun on Friday, February 3rd. We made demon masks using paper plates, yarn and construction paper.Demons out, good luck in!

Chinese New Year
1月23日～25日は中国の旧正月。今日は先生が中国の言葉、場所、文化などについて話してくれたよ。その後、ドラゴンの絵を描いたよ。
This week we celebrated the Chinese New Year by drawing pictures of this year's animal. This year is expecially important, it's the Year of the Dragon! Let's hope the dragon brings peace, comfort, and happiness to all of us living here on this troubled planet. Happy Year of the Dragon!

What Can You Do?
今日は、"Can"を使った文章を使って、お友だちとロールプレーをしました。「何ができる？」「ジャンプができるよ。」「彼女はなにができる？」「読み書きができるよ。」などいろんな会話が飛び交いました。
Today we practiced our English by asking "can" questions and role play. Role play is a great way for us to use our English, and "can" questions help us remember verbs.
"What can you do?" "I can jump and play."
"What can she do?" "She can read and write."
So... What can you do?

Birthday Party
今日は、１月生まれのお誕生日会をしました。うたをうたったり、お誕生日のお友だちが生まれてから今までの写真を見たり、その時の様子をお家の人に話してもらったりしてお祝いしました。そしてクッキングではどらやきを作って食べました。
Today we had a party for our January birthday girl. We sang songs and looked at pictures of her taken and earlier ages. We also made a yummy birthday snack, anko pancakes!

Phonics Practice
今日は、野菜の絵を描いてフォニックスの練習をしたよ。絵の横に野菜の名前を書いてそれを先生と一緒に読んだよ。
Today we practiced phonics by drawing pictures of vegetables, saying their names, then writing their names next to their pictures. This helps us to remember sounds and spelling by forming an image of the word in our minds.Practicing phonics using drawing and writing is fun!

Jr. Step Test
来月、児童英検があるので練習をはじめました。年中さん以上を対象にみんな楽しんで問題に取り組んでますよ！朝から登園後、テキストを使って自主学習している姿も…頼もしく、嬉しく思います！
We will be takig the Jr. Step test next month, and we began practicing today! The Jr. Step Test helps us evaluate our English ability, and allows us to set English goals. We all enjoy studying for the test, and practicing on our own.

Rice Cake Making
15日（日）、もちづくりパーティーをしたよ。ねずみのもちつきのお話しをきいたり、うたをうたったり、日本とアメリカの違いについてはなしあったりした後、おもちづくりをしたよ。のりまき、きなこもち、あんこもち、納豆もち…みんな好きなおもちを作って食べたよ。最後にみんなの今年の抱負を発表したよ！
On Sunday we had a rice cake making party. We sang songs and talked about the differences between Japan and the US. Then we made yummy rice cakes! We love sweet beans and natto!

Rapunzel Songs
先生が、グリム童話『ラパンゼル』のお話しをしてくれたあと、先生が作った『ラパンゼルのうた』を教えてくれたよ！
Today our teacher read us the story, Rapunzel. Our teacher also wrote two songs that go with the story.

Winter School Cooking
今日は、ウィンタースクール最終日、クッキングデー。みんなで卵サンドイッチ作りをしたよ。
Today is our last day of winter school, and it's Friday cooking day! Today we made yummy egg sandwiches!!

Winter School 2012
あけましておめでとうございます。2012年がステキな1年になりますように…アップルビーインターナショナルスクールでは、今日から2012年ウィンタースクールが始まりました。今年もみんながわくわくするようなたくさんの体験をして、心身ともに健康でたくましくお子さまが育つようスタッフ一同はりきってがんばります！どうぞ宜しくお願いします。
Happy New Year. Our 2012 winter school started today! We are planning a nice year at Apple Bee International School. We are going to work hard this year developing our young minds and bodies, and grow up more! Thank you for your interest in our school!

Christmas caroling
Last Friday, December 23rd, Apple Bee went Christmas caroling downtown! We sang Christmas songs along Shinshigai, and visited a few different places. One of our stops was Starbucks. The people at Starbucks were very nice. They opened the windows for us and we sang for the customers. Some of the customers joined us singing! Then afterwards we were given cocoa to keep us warm. Our next stop was the secret Mirage hair salon. The people there were nice too. The owner gave us all Christmas presents! Our last stop was Liz beauty salon and este. Here we went inside and could rest a little, the owner is one of our Apple Bee mothers. We got hot drinks there too. We were even given Christmas tatoos (removable of course). WIth our caroling we included a prayer for the Tohoku earthquake victims. We wished them health and a happy return to their homes. Our final destination was McDonald's. There we had a great Christmas party and exchanged gifts with one another. We had a wonderful time caroling, and hope to do it again next year.

End of Term Report
今日は、2学期終業式。お世話になった机、いす、ロッカー、教室のそうじをしたよ。
友だちのお母さんから手作りのクリスマスクッキーのプレゼントをもらったよ。そして2学期の通知表ももらったよ。新しい年がもうすぐやってくるね。２012年がステキな年になりますように…
Today was the last day of school for this year. We gave our school a big cleaning, and for a suprise we got a present from one of our mothers. She's from America and she gave us Christmas cookies! Christmas cookies are an American tradition, and are very, very yummy! Afterwards we got our final report card for the year.We are looking forward to 2012 and are excited about working hard and having fun! You should try it!

Caroling Practice
アップルビーインターナショナルスクールでは、23日（金）に、クリスマスキャロリングをするよ。明かりをともし、街を歩きクリスマスソングを歌うんだよ。今日は、外に出てうたの練習をしたよ。
We will go Christmas caroling this Friday, December 23rd. We will carry lights, sing Christmas songs, and then stroll around town. Today we practiced walking together and singing Christmas songs outside.

パンゲアKINDERGARTEN
昨日、FMKお昼の人気番組「FMパンゲア」（11:30～14:35)の「パンゲアKINDERGARTEN」のコーナーに出たよ！英太郎さんが "What do you want for Christmas?(クリスマスに何が欲しい？）"と尋ねたので「裁縫セットが欲しい。」って答えたよ！
Yesterday we went to FMK to visit Eitaro and Meg. We talked about Christmas and the things we like. Eitaro asked us what we wanted for Christmas, and I said "I want sewing set."

Show & Tell
毎週金曜日は、ショー＆テルの日。今日は、サンタさんへ書いた手紙を持ってきてみんなに紹介したよ。
Friday is show and tell day here at Apple Bee. Today we brought letters we wrote to Santa. We were all goodchildren this year, and we hope Santa will bring us something nice!

Phonics
今日はフォニックス（英語の綴り字と発音を教える音声学）を使って、読み・書きの練習をしたよ。
Phonics is using the sounds of letters to help memorize them, and use their combinations to make words. Today we practiced reading and writing new words using phonics.
